Hi! I’m Jocelyn, a designer and illustrator based in Kansas City, Missouri. I’m passionate about the city I live in, and love incorporating it into the work I design. I specialize in UX Design, branding, and illustration.
I received my B.F.A in Graphic Design from Missouri Western State University and my M.A in Art & Design with an Emphasis in User & Web Experience from Lindenwood University. During my college experience, I completed Graphic Design Internships at both Made in KC and Kansas City Magazine (in case you can’t already tell, I love KC!).
I currently work at Evergy as a Web Designer, where I work on our digital elements to make our user experience better. I’m also involved with the AIGA KC Communications team as an Associate Designer and help to design social graphics for Instagram. As part of AIGA KC, I also volunteer to give talks at various schools about the design world.
My hobbies include discovering new coffee shops in the city, brushing up on pop culture trivia, and collecting too many funky house plants. On the weekends, you can find me at my favorite KC spots such as The Nelson Atkins Sculpture Garden, The Kauffman Center of Performing Arts, and Union Station sketching away.
I love using design as a tool to connect people. I believe design is all around us and has the ability to tell a story. I’m open to telling your story, or even speaking at an event about my design journey. All you have to do is connect with me below to get started!
